Cabins and Cottage
On the day of your arrival you will receive a text advising your cabin number and self check in details.
This means you don’t need to come to reception to check in but can head to your cabin and start relaxing
Our self contained cabins and cottage are serviced weekly
Please drive directly to your cabin as there is parking out the front.
The front door will be unlocked, lights will be on there for you and the
key will be in a slot on the wall to your right just inside.
The plastic tag attached to you key is the tag that turns on your electricity.
Please ensure that this is inserted fully when you come back after venturing out.
Hotel Rooms and Suites
These are located in the boutique hotel where you will also find reception.
Please note that these rooms and suites do not have the same level of peace and quiet as the self contained cabins. You may have other guests staying beside you and either above or below you.
Whilst our guests are typically considerate of others, you will be likely to hear the other guests coming and going. If this is an issue, we strongly recommend you book a cabin or cottage instead.
Our rooms and suites are are not serviced daily. For longer stays of 3 days or more we provide room servicing but you are welcome to request any fresh towels or tops ups at any time.
On the day of your arrival please come to reception and we will show you to your room.
If you are arriving after 5pm please let us know so that we can leave directions to your room or for you

Early Checkin / Late Checkout
Our standard check in is from 2pm and checkout is by 10am.
Make the most of your escape. Enjoy late checkout til 1pm OR an early checkin from 11am for just $50.General Information:
Quiet Enjoyment:
As a retreat, people come here for a relaxing and tranquil stay and quiet enjoyment of our place.
We have a strict NO NOISE policy after 9pm – 8am. All visitors must leave by 8.30pm
Payment and Refunds
Payment is due 2 weeks prior to your stay. If you need to cancel and have booked directly with us or through our website, we offer a full refund for cancellations up to 72hrs prior to your arrival date. If you have booked through a booking site eg Booking.com, Expedia, Wotif etc, the free cancellation period per your booking conditions applies.
Getting Here:
Please note our nearest cross road is California Creek Road and we are WEST Mount Cotton Rd. If you are unsure please use www.whereis.com/MtCottonRetreat or get directions from Our Website
Pets:
A maximum of 2 well behaved toilet trained pets are welcome in our self contained cabins but not in the boutique hotel
So that you can enjoy your stay and our native animals and other guests can enjoy your stay also, could you please ensure:

- Pets are not permitted on bedding or furniture
- A cleaning fee of $250 will be charged if your pet is allowed on the bed and furniture.
- You are very welcome to take your pet for a walk to explore the area along the pathways and formal garden areas – please ensure they are on a lead at all times as the bushland areas here are part of our protected nature refuge for native animal
- Please pick up after you pet has done its business outside and dispose of in a rubbish bin
- Please take your pets with you when you go out during the day or night. Your pet is likely to get upset or get up to mischief when you are out and may disturb other guests or damage furniture.
You are responsible for any nuisance issues or cost of damage
Meals:
You can order Uber Eats or Menu Log to be delivered here.
Just 7mins drive is our Super IGA, The Grove is our local and they do great breakfast through to lunch. Valley Way Pizza has a huge range of delish pizzas and the Sourdough Bakery has amazing danishes, sweet treats, breads and chunky pies.
Your cabin/cottage has a full kitchen with cooktop and microwave (please note no oven) if you prefer to stay in.
Wifi:
Complimentary wifi is available at the main lodge and you are welcome to find a spot to connect there if you are staying in a cabin. Its available from 8am to 7pm daily.

Complimentary Goodies:
Your accommodation has complimentary port and chocolates, small milk, tea, coffee and biscuits.
There is also a coffee pod machine and a complimentary starter pack of coffee pods in our cabins. Additional pods can be purchased at Reception.
Smoking:
Is not permitted anywhere in the cabins or on the decks.
Please smoke at least 5m away from any building and ensure your butts are NOT thrown in the bushland but are disposed of in a rubbish bin
Time to Leave:
We appreciate you leaving the cabin in a reasonably tidy and clean state.
To avoid a cleaning fee please:

- take all your rubbish and put them in the bins on your left just before you exit the property

- put dirty dishes etc in the dishwasher, pop in dishwashing powder and turn it on
-
- return the key to the key drop box just outside reception
Emergencies:
Emergency information is provided on the fridge in your accommodation.
